A GiftList group is a shared place for family members and the wishlists they choose to share. Each person keeps their own lists, and you can open their profile from the group to find gift ideas for them. The group stays together across birthdays, holidays and other occasions.

Yes. You need a GiftList account to create or join a group. Relatives can create an account when they accept your invitation. Separately, gift-givers can reserve a gift on an accessible shared wishlist without creating an account.

Yes. Your group is a persistent place for your family, so you can return throughout the year. Each person can keep separate birthday, Christmas and everyday wishlists.

A group can include up to 50 people. You can create separate groups for different sides of the family or for friends.

You can create a free GiftList account, make wishlists and join a family group. Buying gifts still happens through the stores you choose; the gift prices are separate from using GiftList.

Your list settings still control visibility. Being in a group does not unlock every private list or give other members permission to edit your lists. The group shows each person the lists they are allowed to see.

Yes. You can share an individual wishlist link separately from your group invitation. A person who can access that list can reserve a gift without creating an account. List privacy controls where your list appears. Anyone with its link can open it unless it is password protected.

Birthday reminders depend on relatives supplying their birthday and on your reminder settings. GiftList does not automatically import everyone's birthday from your contacts.

No. A family group keeps people and shared wishlists together. Secret Santa is a separate feature for drawing names, and group gifting is about contributing toward a gift. Creating a family group does not draw names or collect payments.

Yes. Each person can add gifts from different stores to the same wishlist. Paste a product link, use the browser extension, or browse with the GiftList app. If a product's details cannot be imported, you can enter them manually.

Gift-givers can reserve an available gift on an accessible shared wishlist. Other gift-givers can see that it has been claimed and choose something else. Reservations help avoid duplicates, but they do not verify that someone completed a purchase at a retailer.

The recipient's list keeps claim details hidden until they choose to reveal their gifts. Being in a family group does not override that surprise behavior. GiftList's reveal reflects recorded claims, not automatic purchase or shipping updates from stores.
