Change country or currency and use GiftList internationally

Choose Country and Currency in your profile's Settings card. Your currency applies to lists you own. Changing it relabels saved prices; it does not convert the numbers using an exchange rate.

Save your country and currency

1. Sign in and open your profile. In the app, choose Edit profile from the menu.
2. Scroll to Settings and choose Country.
3. Review Currency after choosing the country, and select the currency you want.
4. Choose Save, wait for confirmation and reopen an existing list you own to check the result.
5. Review prices you entered manually. If a saved amount was 50, switching currency is not a promise that it becomes the converted equivalent of 50.

The setting applies to existing owned lists as well as new ones. It does not change the owner or currency of someone else's list that you are visiting or helping edit.

Understand country-specific gift discovery

Country helps tailor discovery to shops serving that market. US catalog browsing and some features, including storefront price-drop alerts, are available only in supported regions. Outside the US, product Search can replace US catalog and brand-browsing entry points.

A country setting does not guarantee that a retailer ships to your address. Check the retailer's country, checkout currency, stock, delivery area and final total before buying. GiftList does not set the retailer's exchange rate, shipping cost or customs charges.

Save a product from another country

Paste the actual product URL into Add gift, review the details and correct the price, link or notes if needed. Use manual entry when the store prevents automatic extraction. Supported registry imports are a separate feature; not every international registry can be imported.

If prices or settings still look wrong after saving, reopen the profile and list to check the saved values, then contact support with the country/currency you selected and a list link. Never include payment details.
