Use GiftList in ChatGPT

Connect GiftList in a ChatGPT surface that offers the connection, then ask it to show your lists or help with an available action. What it can do depends on the connection and rollout. It cannot buy products for you or reveal hidden surprise purchases.

Connect and choose a list

1. Open ChatGPT's available apps or connection settings and look for GiftList.
2. Follow the connection's sign-in and authorization steps using the GiftList account you want.
3. Ask it to show your lists. Select the intended list before asking for changes.
4. Where desktop composer mentions are supported, select an owned list in your prompt. Other surfaces can use the connection's Lists tab instead.

If GiftList or a particular action is not offered, use the GiftList website for that task. Availability in one ChatGPT surface does not establish availability in every plan, app or region.

Ask for a supported action

Use the suggestions shown by your connection. Available actions can include finding gift ideas, creating a wishlist, adding products, updating list details or preparing a share link. For example, ask it to show your existing lists first, then identify the list you want to update.

When products are shown, review their name, retailer and price. Some results include photos and product links; if a photo cannot load, use its Photo link. To save a shown product, ask ChatGPT to save it to the intended list.

Review the proposed change and its confirmation before it writes. Check the result in GiftList. A prepared share link still needs you to send it to the intended people yourself.

Limits and recovery

GiftList in ChatGPT does not complete retailer checkout, send a list link to your family for you, or bypass password and surprise protections. Do not paste account passwords or personal reservation-recovery links into a conversation.

If lists are missing, check the connected GiftList account. If a change fails, look at the actual list before retrying so you do not add duplicates. Use GiftList directly for full list management or contact support with the task and visible error.
