Move or copy gifts to another list

Use Move to another list to refile an existing gift, or Copy to another list to make a separate gift while leaving the original in place. Check the destination before confirming.

Move a gift

1. Sign in and open a list you can edit.
2. Open the gift's menu and choose Move to another list.
3. Select the destination list in the dialog and confirm the move.
4. Open the destination to check the gift is there.

Moving preserves the gift's identity, including its reservations and purchases. After moving, copy a fresh gift link from the destination list; an old link can still point to the original list. Avoid copying and deleting as a substitute when you need that history to stay attached.

Copy a gift

Choose Copy to another list from the gift's menu and select the destination. The copy is a separate item. Future edits to one item do not act as an ongoing sync between the two lists.

To work with several gifts, use the list's Select action and the available bulk actions. If an operation reports that some gifts failed, check both lists before trying again; do not assume that every selected item failed.

Which option fits?

Move when an item belongs on a different list. Copy when you intentionally want it in both places. To start a whole new occasion, duplicate the list instead, choosing all items, unpurchased items or an empty copy.
