Save gifts to GiftList on Android

Use the GiftList app's built-in browser, or share a retailer's product link to GiftList from another app. You need to be signed in and select a list before saving. Android's sharing menu and GiftList's add form are separate steps.

Save from GiftList's shopping browser

1. Open Add gift in GiftList, either from the app's add control or from a list.
2. Enter a product URL in Search or paste a link, or select a store under Browse by store.
3. Browse to the product's own page. Choose the size, color or variant you want where the store supports it.
4. Tap + Add in GiftList's browser toolbar.
5. In Add gift, select the correct list. Review the gift name, price, image, link and details.
6. Tap Add gift and confirm that it appears on the destination list.

Saving an item does not buy it. Retailer checkout, if you choose to shop, remains with the store.

Share from Chrome or another app

1. Open the product page and use the browser or app's Share action.
2. Choose GiftList from Android's available sharing apps. Expand the chooser or scroll if necessary; placement differs by device.
3. Check that the shared content contains a product link, not only an image or description.
4. Review the Add gift form, choose a list and tap Add gift.

If GiftList is absent from the share menu, confirm it is installed and up to date. You can copy the product URL, open GiftList and paste it into Add gift instead. Android does not use Safari's iPhone extension setup.

Recover an incomplete save

If no list is selected, choose one before submitting. If there are no lists available, create a list in the main app or check the account you are signed into.

Correct missing details in the form or add the item manually. For a broken product link, copy a fresh URL from the actual product page. A store homepage, cart or search result may not identify the item you mean.

If the connection fails after saving, check the destination list before saving again. Contact support with your Android/GiftList version, the product URL and what happened if it keeps failing. Do not send your password.
